Treasure is a mustang from Antelope Valley in Nevada. She was gathered up in August 15, 2019 by the Bureau of Land Management.
Lindsey saw an adorable palomino baby and wanted to adopt her.
Because of the BLM rules for adoption, Treasure had to stay in the USA for 1 year. She was boarded at Harmonia Equestrian Center in Virginia for the year and went there in August, 2020.
Because of the Covid pandemic, it was difficult for Lindsey to visit her and didn’t start any handling until November 2020. You can watch her first video here: https://youtu.be/GG7J1SPHTqQ
Her name is Tom’s Treasure (Treasure for short) in memory of Thomas Philip Veness who is a USA veteran that committed suicide. Tom’s memory and message of mental health and hope lives on through Tom’s Treasure an American Legend Mustang.
Treasure moved home to Canada in September 2021 after her year of adoption was finalized and her sale title was transfered to Lindsey meaning she was now owned by Lindsey and could leave the USA.
She started training to ride in winter of 2021/2022, you can watch her first ride here: https://youtu.be/XKHAI9NbmUc
Treasure started in the lesson program later in 2022 and participated in our obstacle show, trail rides and even was in the Pontypool Christmas parade.
