Help the horses is something we started in light of the pandemic. We’re offering weekly virtual lessons about different horse topics that are available for free online.

We understand this time is tough for many people. For those that are able to, we’re asking for contributions towards the horse’s care.

We are fortunate to have some of the best horses. Some are formerly wild mustangs, others used to be race horses. They come to the farm and learn to love people, love learning, and love being part of the lesson and camp programs.

During the Covid-19 pandemic all riding lessons, camps, and group events were closed and we don’t know when they will open again. Even though all activities are closed, the horses still need to be taken care of. They still need to eat, have a comfortable and safe place to live, get their hooves trimmed, and keep up on regular medical maintenance like deworming, annual dental treatment, and vaccines.

We are a registered Not for Profit Organization (The Natural Horsemanship Association) and you receive a receipt for your donation which you can use for tax deductions. (Partridge Horse Hill is the physical location and the NHA is the organization that runs all of the lessons, camps, etc).

Right now the horses that are owned by the farm that your donations would support are:

  • Valiente – a 4 year old mustang from Utah that was taken out of holding in December 2019. He won reserve champion in the April Mustang Challenge (held virtually instead of at Equine Affaire). He will be part of the summer camp and lesson program when they resume.
  • Elysia – a 3 year old Thoroughbred that was taken off the racetrack in November 2019. She will be helping out with summer camp.
  • Dreamer – our 20 yr old superstar Quarter Horse who is currently on lease to someone for the summer and will return in the fall to our lesson program.
  • Kahleesi – 13 year old Thoroughbred who retired from racing and then won 2015’s America’s Most Wanted Thoroughbred competition. She is part of our lesson and camp program.
  • Secret – a coming 2 year old Thoroughbred filly that won’t be ridden for at least another year, but will still be helping out at summer camp to teach campers about young horses and ground work.

The farm also has horses owned by others that take part in lesson and camps programs that typically receive money towards their boarding care.

We truly appreciate your support during this difficult time, and hope that you and your family are keeping safe.
