1. Cancellation Policy: We understand that cancellations happen for a variety of reasons. We are a small camp that only takes 12 campers per week, and we hire a staff ratio that exceeds insurance and certification requirements- this means our margins are small and cancellations have a big impact, so we encourage you to reconsider cancelling once registered.
These are the Cancellation options:
2. All Campers need to be Mentally, Emotionally, and Physically Able to be safely around horses in a Group Environment: Horses are big, strong, and potentially dangerous, so it is important that everyone participating in our horse camp can follow instructions, remember safety rules, and physically be able to move around with good balance to keep themselves and others safe. For that reason it is extremely important that all campers be mentally, emotionally, and physically able to be with horses in a group setting. Our camps have some private instruction, but largely campers will be in groups with other campers. If your child has a physical, mental, or emotional challenge that requires one on one supervision then we cannot accommodate your child in camp. If your child comes to camp and Partridge Horse Hill deems our horse camp to be an unsafe environment for your child for any reason, your child will not be able to participate in horse camp, and there will be no refund given. In certain circumstances it may be possible for the parent/guardian to make arrangements for their child to stay in horse camp (for example if a child has a mild learning disability but requires constant supervision as deemed by Partridge Horse Hill, then the child may be permitted to stay in horse camp if the parent/guardian provides a supervisor (or comes themselves) to provide one on one supervision for their child). If you are unsure if your child is a good fit for our program please contact us. We have had many children have safe and fun experiences that have ADD, ADHD, FAS, and other conditions, but it is important to speak with us before completing registration so we can determine if our camp is a good fit for your child. It is important to us that we provide a safe environment for everyone at camp.
3. Proper Attire Policy: We are an OEF accredited facility and as such we adhere to safety standards. All campers need to wear an ASTM approved horseback riding helmet when riding, no exceptions. When riding with a saddle, boots with a heel are required, no exceptions.
4. Sign In & Sign Out: Every time you drop off a camper and pick up a camper we require a person 18 years or older to sign the camper in or out, as well as provide an emergency contact number. Parents/Guardians can provide name(s) of people that are allowed to sign out their camper.
